Questions
What is Open Graph?
Open Graph is a protocol created by Facebook that allows web pages to control how they appear when shared on social media. It uses meta tags to define the title, description, image, and type of content.
What Open Graph tags are required?
The four required Open Graph tags are og:title (page title), og:type (content type, usually "website"), og:image (preview image URL), and og:url (canonical URL of the page).
What image size should I use for og:image?
Facebook recommends 1200x630 pixels for og:image. This size displays well on most platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter when using their large card format.
Do Open Graph tags work on Twitter?
Twitter has its own Twitter Card tags, but it falls back to Open Graph tags when Twitter-specific tags are absent. For best results, include both og: tags and twitter: tags in your page.
