Developer tools that respect your data
$ what_is_browserutils
BrowserUtils is a collection of 299+ free online tools built for people who write code. JSON formatters, Base64 encoders, hash generators, regex testers, color converters, diff checkers, JWT decoders — the utilities you reach for daily, all in one place.
Every tool loads instantly, works without sign-ups or accounts, and is completely free. No feature gates, no premium tiers, no "sign up to unlock." You open the page, use the tool, and move on.
$ privacy_first
The vast majority of our tools run entirely in your browser. Your data never leaves your machine. There's no server processing your JSON, no backend storing your hashed passwords, no analytics tracking what you paste into a text field.
A small number of tools require server-side processing by nature (DNS lookups, HTTP header checks, etc.). These are clearly labeled. Even then, we don't log inputs or store results.
We built BrowserUtils the way we'd want to use it ourselves: fast, private, and with zero friction. Client-side processing isn't just a privacy feature — it also means the tools work offline and respond instantly regardless of your connection speed.
$ who_its_for
BrowserUtils is used by developers, designers, DevOps engineers, QA testers, and students. Whether you're debugging a malformed JSON payload at 2am, decoding a Base64 string from an API response, generating a SHA-256 hash for a deployment script, or converting colors between HEX and RGB for a design system — there's a tool here for that.
We focus on the kind of small, essential operations that interrupt your flow when you have to hunt for them. Instead of searching through bookmarks or installing yet another VS Code extension, you get a single, reliable destination.
$ how_its_built
BrowserUtils is built with Astro and runs on Cloudflare's edge network, which means pages load fast no matter where you are. The tools themselves use vanilla JavaScript and Web APIs wherever possible, keeping bundle sizes small and performance snappy.
The interface is intentionally minimal. Dark theme by default because that's what most developers prefer. Monospace type where it matters. No animations that get in the way. The goal is to feel like a well-organized terminal utility, not a marketing site.
