$ terms_of_service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BrowserUtils (browserutils.dev), operated by Simplisik LLC, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. Description of Service

BrowserUtils provides free, browser-based developer tools including but not limited to formatters, encoders, decoders, generators, converters, and validators. Most tools run entirely client-side in your browser. A small number of tools require server-side processing, which is clearly indicated.

3. Use of the Service

You may use BrowserUtils for any lawful purpose. You agree not to:

  • - Attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the service's infrastructure
  • - Use automated tools to scrape or crawl the site in a way that degrades performance for others
  • - Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service
  • - Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose

4. Disclaimer of Warranties

BrowserUtils is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the tools will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that results will be accurate. You use the tools at your own risk.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Simplisik LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of BrowserUtils.

6. Intellectual Property

The BrowserUtils name, logo, and site design are the property of Simplisik LLC. The tools and underlying code are provided for your use through the site. You retain all rights to any data you process using our tools — we claim no ownership of your inputs or outputs.

7. Third-Party Services

BrowserUtils may display advertisements served by third-party ad networks. These third parties may use cookies or similar technologies. Their use of your data is governed by their own privacy policies, not ours.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of BrowserUtils after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page.

$ privacy_policy

The short version: the vast majority of BrowserUtils tools run entirely in your browser. Your data stays on your machine. We don't collect it, store it, or send it anywhere.

1. Data Processing

Most BrowserUtils tools process data entirely client-side using JavaScript in your browser. This means your data never leaves your device. We have no ability to see, access, or store what you type, paste, or upload into these tools.

A small number of tools require server-side processing (such as DNS lookups, HTTP header checks, and similar network operations). These tools are clearly labeled. Even for server-side tools, we do not log inputs, store results, or retain any user data beyond what is needed to return a response.

2. Cookies & Local Storage

BrowserUtils may use local storage or cookies for functional purposes such as saving your preferences. Third-party advertising partners may set their own cookies. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.

3. Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand general usage patterns (e.g., which tools are most popular, page load times). We do not track individual users, build profiles, or collect personally identifiable information through analytics.

4. Advertising

BrowserUtils may display advertisements to support the free service. Ad networks may collect data according to their own privacy policies. We do not share any user data with advertisers ourselves.

5. No Account Required

BrowserUtils does not require sign-ups, accounts, or any personal information to use. We do not collect names, email addresses, or any other personal data through the use of our tools.

6. Data Retention

Since we don't collect user data from tool usage, there is nothing to retain. Server logs for server-side tools are transient and not stored beyond the immediate request-response cycle.

7. Children's Privacy

BrowserUtils is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
